18.5% widest gap between UK shops on one Japanese whisky: Nikka Days, £37.99 to £45.00

Each line runs from a bottle’s cheapest UK shelf price to its dearest, for bottles two or more retailers we check sell. Filter by producer, sort by the gap, and hover or tab through the rows. Every bottle links to its own price history.

13 more seen earlier, not in the 14 October collection

That collection checked fewer bottles at Loch Fyne Whiskies and The Whisky Shop, so a missing bottle may simply not have been checked.

About this data: method, downloads and sources

How we did it

Bottles. Every bottle tagged as Japanese whisky in our catalogue with at least one in-stock offer we have confirmed as the same bottle. Prices are shelf prices from the 14 October 2026 collection, the latest with Japanese whisky in it.

Spread. For bottles sold by two or more retailers: the highest in-stock shelf price above the lowest, for the same bottle and size. Loch Fyne Whiskies and The Whisky Shop have the same owner and count as one retailer.

Delivered. Shelf price plus delivery for one bottle to a UK mainland address on the retailer’s standard service, from the retailer’s feed or its published delivery policy (read on 23 October 2026). “Not published” means we don’t know the charge.

History. The lowest in-stock shelf price on each collection day since 28 September 2026, and every change in a retailer’s own price between checks. Collection days are irregular and not every retailer was checked every day, so the lowest price on a day depends partly on which shops we checked. We don’t fill in days we didn’t check.

What it is. A record of what UK shops charged. It doesn’t forecast prices, and Japanese whisky is not presented here as something to buy for its value later.
